Before Your Appointment
If you have a specific 'brow goal' or lip goal in mind, please bring some photos to your appointment. You do NOT have to remove your makeup before you arrive-- just come as you are and we'll do the rest! Please stop brow & lash treatments (tinting, waxing, threading, etc.) one week before your appointment. A 'clean up' is included as a part of your microblading & touch up service, so not to worry if any of your brow hairs fall outside of your tattooed brows!
Clients undergoing lip tattoo procedure are required to keep their lips moistened starting one week prior to their appointment. Please use plenty of lip moisturizer and include a lip scrub exfoliation nightly. You can make your own lip scrub at home by mixing coconut or grapeseed oil with sugar to make a gritty paste. If you are susceptible to bruising we also recommend that you take Arnica tablets (available at most health food/ organic grocery stores) starting 3 days prior to the appointment.
Eye liner tattoo clients must have NO lash extensions (must be removed a week prior) and contact lense wearers must bring either their case with solution, or wear glasses. Eyeliner clients must be off lash lenghthening serums for a minimum of 1 month.
If you plan to go on a vacation, it is recommended that you plan your appointment accordingly. You will not be able to wear sunblock over the treated area for 14 days following the procedure. Exposure to salt water can also affect retention, as the saline/ salt water will encourage pigment to be removed from your skin.
We require our clients to avoid Botox & filler injections, chemical peels & any abrasive skin treatments up to 2 weeks prior to microblading procedure, and avoid any over the counter blood thinning medication or supplements for a minimum of 48 hours prior to their appointment. These medications and supplements include (but not limited to) Retinol, Vitamin E, Aspirin, Niacin, OMEGA/ fish oil supplements, blueberry extract, and Ibuprofen. Please consult your doctor before discontinuing any medication. If you are currently taking antibiotics, your appointment must be scheduled at least one week after you've finished your antibiotics. You must be off Accutane for a minimum of ONE year before receiving microblading treatments.
Please book your appointment a minimum of one week prior to your menstruation cycle. It is not recommended to have any cosmetic tattooing during menstruation as you will be extra sensitive and will thus make any invasive procedure far more uncomfortable.
Please avoid any alcohol 48 hours prior to your appointment. Please avoid caffeine the day of your treatment as caffeine will heighten your sensitivity to pain, and alcohol will make you bleed like a stuck pig.
You must be off Accutane for at least one year before the procedure.
If you are prone to sneezing & watery eyes from environmental allergies, we recommend booking an appointment outside 'allergy season.'
